Most of mine is based of revolutionary aspects, Ice Cube pretty much started Gangsta Rap, along with NWA obviously, Tech has never done anything of the sort.
Although, he is an impeccable artist, his music is creative and interesting, and his flow is just off the fucking scales.
But Tech ain't got shit in terms of cultural impact, apart from getting called a Devil Worshiper.

Tech does gangsta rap tho.

Yes, but he didn't start it.
He didn't change the game like Cube did.

Influence and skill are too different things
Look at this as an example

-Rakim - Eminem-

One of those is more influential while the other is a better rapper, take your pick.

As I said, I enjoy Eminem's music more, this shit is personal preference, man.
Eminem is more personal, technically Rakim is a better lyricist, but I don't enjoy his music as much as I have said countless times.

But it was not near as popular Cube's. And I cannot talk with 100% sureness but when Ice Cube and the rest of NWA made the straight outta compton album in 87' it become much bigger than Ice T's album that drop'd same year (wiki searching). And it's not only about who rap'd for the longest but who made good music first and kept it good and high quality for a further period. I'd say Ice Cube has influenced more people than Ice T. But that's not the same as saying Ice Cube is better than Ice T.
