Greatest RAP Album of All Time?

In your opinion of course. Mine goes out to The Eminem Show. It had everything on that album, Stimulate should have been on there tho I feel.

Sucks that I have to say another eminem album but Marshal Mathers LP, that was satire at its finest with great lyricism and beats that were awsome! If not that album though probably Ammerikkkas most wanted by Ice Cube.

Can't blame both of you, Em's had a good run with his albums. Both albums you mentioned are classics.

but i've never enjoyed an entire album as much as tech n9ne's "everready: the religion"
it has to at least be in the classics catigory.

Some of my favorites, but I love alot more

Slim Shady LP followed by Marshall Mathers LP followed by the Eminem show, and no I'm not a biased eminem stan, If I was I would've actually thought Recovery was a good album.... Anyways, I haven't heard any hip hop album that matches these 3, whether it comes for Concepts, Wit & Satire, to over-excellent rhyming, structring flow and Delivery, to Impact on society, and even replay value, overall sound and enjoyability, these 3 albums to me are perfect all around, and they will remaind unmatched for an undetermined period

That ofc doesn't mean I don't appreciate alot of the hip-hop classics, believe me I do, but I just think these 3 albums, are on a whole other level

C Of Tranquility is also one of the most complex albums...it was released last year and I'm still digesting the lyrics.

Illmatic. It's a perfect album as in there aren't any filler tracks, and even if you consider One Time 4 Your Mind as such (or Represent and Life's A Bitch for that matter) it is still better than the worst song on any other Hip-Hop album. Plus the lyricism and flow are pretty much up-to-par with everyone's and it's great how all the songs presented a different mood but worked together perfectly. It was also the first time that an all-star group of producers came to work on a single album so the production is also perfect I think. And yes, there's the impact part in the way that Nas was above any rapper at the time and it had a big buzz within the Hip-Hop world.

If not Illmatic than it's any of Eminem's first 3. That's the best MCing on an album(s) and his skills at the time haven't been matched yet. The Slim Shady LP is my favorite album ever and the other two are up there as well. The only thing is that with Illmatic you'll have people having a different favorite song i.e. a pick for the best track (like 9 out of 10) and with Eminem's albums the choices are usually - Role Model/Still Don't Give A Fuck/Rock Bottom for TSSLP, Marshall Mathers/The Way I Am/Stan for TMMLP and Sing For The Moment/Till I Collapse for TEM. But hey, I'm cool with it either way.
