Tupac or Biggie?
Tupac Vs. Biggie
Thu 26 Jan 2012 - 20:26
IMO Tupac & Biggie can't be directly compared since they have different styles.
So this is really more of a "which rapper do you PREFER" type of thread.
Feel free to elaborate on your choice!

I never really got into Biggie, but I'm also just too lazy.

Biggie was amazing with lyrics, flow, and delivery. But at the end of the day, I have to choose my boy Pac... because he actually played a role in forming me into the person I am today. Biggie just made me laugh a lot and go "daaaamn".
EDIT: "too lazy" lmao. Last night you were too lazy to press the 'broadcast' button on tinychat... wtf kinda shit you be smokin sonnn!?! (PASS IT!!!)

Yeah. I know he's talented from what I've heard, just not really "my" thing.

Tupac. I would never hate on Biggie tho, he goes hella hard. Eminem wouldn't have been the same rapper if Biggie never existed.

Pac, because his music tells the story of his life, and gives a positive message and shit. Biggie has the flow and the lyrics but I can't get into rappers that mostly rap about money and bitches.

Biggie has the best album out of the two.. to pac's credit biggie has 1/100th of the material pac does..
biggie has such a godly flow..
such a good summary of their styles in this...
tupac= more philosophical.. technical.. illusive
biggie= blunt, gangsta as fuckk\
biggie imo all day... im from nyc area tho
i love shyheim in this btw

i hate how cliche it is to compare the two justb ecause of who they are and where they were in life in their time.
biggie is a better spitter, more relevant with the times, better flow, straight raw talent, way ahead of his time
pac was a shakespeare amongst his peers, he was a pure rebel, and a poet in rhythm and rap. also had the balls to down play the illuminati and started a huge trend in rap with the unspoken group
they were not one in the same. sure the argument is fun but its the longest and tretcherous one ever.
next poll should be jay vs nas. and ill take nas anyday
(:

I know no one will agree with me on this lol but I really don't like biggies flow/delivery. It just didn't connect with my ears lol, tupacs flow on the other hand...brilliant. Idk maybe it's because I'm British so I haven't got a good ear for American accents

COSIGN EVERYTHING HE SAID (from a generation that didn't grow up listening to these guys biggie takes the cake for me, but that is out of context so it's different)MCJayFree wrote:i hate how cliche it is to compare the two justb ecause of who they are and where they were in life in their time.

i also love pacs revolutionary style of living. he was so hood and thug, but genius and intellectual at the same time going to acting school and being in great movies as a young man. he literally sculpted wat a true o g rapper should be in the early to mid 90s
but biggie man, biggie has dozens of songs i can listen to on repeat or jsut have heard hundreds of times. i love pac but i dont think i can say the same. maybe 5 - 10 songs i absolutely love. but i respected both men sooo much.
people talk about illuminati and rap all the fucking time, but the fact is 2pac learnedb out it in jail and downplayed the fuck out of it, and said fuck illuminati, kill illuminati, he hated the idea of it and thats it. now rappers flaunt like their in it, those motherfuckers aint part of know angels and demons tom hanks movie shit. 2pac simply said fuck em, and alot of people think its what lead to his sadden passing. the fact is there will never be another of the two no matter how hard rappers try. just learn from them and do it your way. theyd be proud

Biggie > Pac
I just feel and get Biggies music more than Pac's. Biggies flow were insane. He made the beat follow him. Lyrical he were a monster in some songs and others just followed the beat with some descent lyrics.
Pac were just to much of a show-off-thug. Needed to use words as glock, cops, bitch etc. in every track he made (ofc he didn't but that's just the way I see him and his songs dont try to show me his best songs).
But this thread will give someone the banhammer! Just wait!

Got to give it to Pac... I like both, but I've always felt like Pac was a better rapper, + he was more than just a rapper. I put Nas & Em over Big on my favorites also..
