'Close to 20' dead in Connecticut school shooting

My question is - and this is someone whose contemplated similar actions - what could 6/7/8/9 etc year old kids have done to anyone?
That was so bad, so hurtful that would make someone massacre young childrens lives.
I don't see how anyone could wake up in the morning and say "I'm going to kill some children today".
This actually deeply distrubs and hurts me.

why has this become such a common occurrence. what gets me the most is that the kids were all grade k to 4. i don't even know what to say.

Not the same. A mad man who kills for the hell of it and a soldier who was given an order are two different things. Both are horrible but they are not the same.

You know....if you aren't familiar with the US laws and are a foreigner, you should:

a) not talk about what we should or shouldn't do with our guns
b) familiarize yourself with these laws, and then realize why banning guns will never happen here

If you are an American proposing gun bans you should just leave.

He killed 168 people. 8x the amount of people that died at the school shooting. There are worse things than guns. He made this bomb using fertilizer. Are we going to ban fertilizer as well?

UK Population - 60,441,457

We more than double your population. Of course there are less gun problems in the UK, with or without a gun ban. Those statistics hold no weight due to the population difference.

This pretty much sums it up.

Guns are a right and should never be taken away, but something needs to be done about people like Adam Lanza's mother having three guns in her house. Why the hell does anybody need more than one weapon in their household with boxes and boxes of ammunition. Our laws do need to be stricter.

Agreed. Stricter regulations are needed.

I see no issue with owning 3 guns with a surplus of ammunition. The issue is with the person behind those guns.

Limiting how many weapons we can have is just...well, horseshit.
