I do respect Tech N9ne. He's been in the game for years and he's getting recognized - GOOD FOR HIM. I respect that, but he isn't as good as you guys make him out to be.

How's he overrated??? Like at all?? In my area, not a lot of people know about him, or not until he was on carter 4 (sadly...). & How can someone who has been in the game 20 years, always put quality music out and still continues to do so, and have heaps of flows & deliveries--be called overrated? It's not like he's called the greatest by a lot of people, even though he deserves to be called one of the greatest, or atleast a legend.

LIL WAYNE is overrated, not tech n9ne. Tech n9ne doesn't get the recognition he deserves... Maybe on this forum, but in my area hardly anyone knows of him.

The majority of people still don't even know who Tech N9ne is tho.

IMO he is a great rapper with crazy skill, I just don't listen to his music that often. His fast flow gets on my nerves, it takes too much work to try and listen and understand what he's saying.

Personality wise, I agree with you, he doesn't because his formula is impeccable and he's such a loveable character.

Tech isn't that great of a lyricist to me, either. He flows fast, has a great delivery, and his lyrics are mediocre.

I also think he doesn't EVER step out of things very close to what he is comfortable with. And, tbh, to be a great rapper...you have to step outside the box.

Some hip hop heads may think Tech is overrated, because on hip hop forums, he's a god and shit but that's totally normal.

He dedicated his whole life to this music and he's just a beast, there's not a lot to say about it. You can't say he's overrated because a lot of people doesn't even know who he is. Let's say, he's not well known but well really appreciated by his fans.

And that's deserved.

To the whole industry, world = underrated
to his fans/hip hop fans = really appreciated
to a minority = overrated
