I feel like Hodgy Beats and Left Brain get left out when people think "Odd Future". In my opinion, Hodgy is the best rapper in all of OF, and maybe even one of the best up and coming rappers right now. Shit, he's been rapping since he was like six or something. He's also an up and coming producer, although he needs to work on his beat making abilities. Left Brain, well, most of his beats are just fucking amazing. Easily the best producer of the four or five in OF, and he can also spit a decent verse when he tries. This thread is to show you why as a duo, MelloeHype is easily one of the best hip-hop groups to come out in a while.

You're sooo smart. I feel sooo stupid now. Even though meeting somebody is introducing yourself, not just seeing them all the time. I go to school with 10000+ people, and I've only met only like 50 of them. If he went to school with Hodgy, and never talked to him before, then I'm pretty sure they've never met. Just saying though.

I went thru a phase where i was loving Mellowhype and anything Hodgy. The beats are almost always great and i'm psyched for numbers, but i just feel like hodgy raps about a lot of random shit....maybe i'm just being too picky cuz i know he's got some talented wordplay, and some songs with real feeling, but after a while that i listened to OF i just got bored of them cuz the shock value wore off.

MellowHype aren't about shock value though. Hodgy's lyrics are always some gangsta/alternative rap shit. The only time he says fucked up shit is when he's on a track with Tyler or Earl.
