It's not entirely up to him now if he goes mainstream or not. Besides, he said in some interviews that he's got nothing against mainstream and he would like to have his songs played on the radio coz every artist would like that. Of course that doesn't mean he sold out or something or he's equal to Lil Wayne.

Saw this post on TRShady. I agree 100%
"The main issue with Knock Madness for me was Hop's lack of growth as an artist. If this had came out a year after Raw, I don't think anyone would feel like it was as weak as they do now. Raw was an album that should have been a mark of his potential, not some standard that he could only hope to meet (at best) with his next release. Knock Madness is good for what it is, I'm just afraid that it only reinforces the idea that people have of Hopsin being a limited artist."

Pretty spot on. As much as it hurts to accept it's pretty practical to say that Hopsin didn't really grow from Raw to Knock Madness. Knock Madness just had a different vibe to most of the songs.Buddie wrote:Saw this post on TRShady. I agree 100%

What I can say and probably stick by in the future is that Knock Madness was good. I really liked songs like a lot of the songs but there are definitely songs I will be skipping when they come on because they just have almost no appeal to me.

and I don't know how this did in sales, but I'm sure it would've done a lot better if he had it on more stores and released it soon after Ill Mind of Hopsin 5.

Can't really go by this considering the fact that XXL gives 99% of albums an L or an XL.Coolguy 127 wrote:http://www.xxlmag.com/rap-music/reviews/2013/12/hopsin-knock-madness-review/#.Up-2VvMh4rU.twitter

^ Cool review but XXL and FV are cool so I expected something positive regardless of how the album turned out.
lol look at one of the comments.
"hopsin is a fucking faggot who calls out kanye kanye is a pure genius hop is one of the best lyricist ive ever heard buti also want to beat his ass he wishes he was eminem and he also dissed kendrick k dot would eat hop for breakfast lyrics arent everything this is music and hops hooks are corny and his beats are garbage he was on thats so raven and now he wants people to think hes hard fuck hop if this is an xll than mmlp2 was an xxl"
Sometimes it feels like there are only 2 other people on the internet that post the same positive or negative feedback. Where are the normal unbiased critics at?
