Earl Sweatshirt Returning Home To Los Angeles?

Earl Sweatshirt, aka the reason most of us found out about Odd Future, just might be heading home after his time with a youth group called Alternative Intervention Models, or AIM. At least, that's the word according to the group's website, which posted a lengthy message about that the uber-talented under-18 rapper today.

They said they're proud to have been a part of his "journey of maturation, imagination, and hip-hop dreams." And while that's all well and good, here's the most telling part about the post:

"Yes indeed, the allegedly lost and arguably most gifted young lyrical prodigy (known for over 10 million YouTube views before age 18), is on his way back home to Los Angeles where he will finish high school before launching the next phase of his widely anticipated rap career—under the wizened guidance of Leila Steinberg, artistic mentor who famously first guided music and screen icon, Tupac Shakur."

If this is true, goddamn we're excited. Could a follow-up to EARL be due out this year? We hope so. We also think it's the perfect time to watch his breakthrough video again. [Complex]

I think its real too..

idk....hard to believe anything based on when earls' gonna be back since so much shit is said about it from ppl that may or may not be reliable sources...i wanna believe he's gonna be back soon but its hard to, ya know?

also it would be a dream come true if he went solo and branched out from OF...dude could do so much if he wasn't rapping about raping and murdering women...

wait where did he go in the 1st place?

Lets see if he can live up to the standards OF-fans have to him...

earls birthday is coming up in a week or two i am sure they have pleaded with his mother to let him come back, if not i am sure Earl is so sick of Samoa he is doing whatever he can to go home early on good behavior for his 18th birthday. I am excited to see what earl will come back with i think this whole experience will make him a better rapper..

lolwut? i'm pretty sure odd future was mostly discovered from tyler's song yonkers

but this is pretty sick news

I am curious to hear a new song from him, to see if he lives up to the hype... I personally think he's alright, kind of like an upgraded version of tyler though (who i'm not big on)... If he worked on his delivery he'd be a lot better, but he's like my age--maybe a year younger, so he has time to improve... We'll see.
