Detox By Dr. Dre

No this is not a joke thread.

What do you guys think will result from this Album?
What would happen to the songs already made?
Do you think it will actually be released?
Should he release it when he wants to or is it "too late"?


2002 - Dre first announces that he's beginning work for new album "Detox"

2003 - Dre stops working on Detox to focus on 50 Cent and stuff.

2004 - Nothing

2005 - Dre scraps the first full version of the album.

2006 - Nothing

2007 - Dre scraps second full version of Detox, no new release date.

2008 - idk

2009 - Dr. Pepper commercial, confirms the album will be completed in November 09

2010 - In April first official single "Under Pressure" with Jay-Z leaks. then "Kush" drops as an official single..

2011 - "I Need a Doctor" released as an official single in February

2012 - Other stuff

2013 -

Honestly, I think you had to have lived through the times when dre first started out and when he rose to prominence, to really understand hip hop at the time and what factored into his success, in order to evaluate when a good time for him to drop the album (if at all) would be in today's climate. The same goes for estimating the impact it will have.

I'd love to hear some real westcoast music but i don't see that happening.

Dre said back in 2002 that the album wouldn't be gangsta music though.

I feel as if the more time passes by, the more pressure he gets from the public.
Hes making money in various projects either way so it's hard to say he will follow through with this..

He should so some really West Coast orientated shit, and get Lynch on there.
