What if Hopsin never made Funk Volume?

Where would he be at now in his music career? Which record label company would hopsin have signed with? or do you guys think he would have stayed independent without any label company in his music career?

If we were to pick a label for him to sign to, i could see Strange being the best option and most likely the one he'd take.

hopsin wouldnt even get an offer from strange if it wasnt for funk volume. hopsin would still be on ruthless records if he didnt create funk volume and the only reason hop created funk volume was because of ruthless records fucking him over

That is true, he did help him out for sure. Hopsin's talent not only carries him, but it carries his entire label.

He would have to go out of his way to perform shows and advertise himself just as he was in ruthless, he would be more stressed with business stuff so he will most likely end up hiring someone to help him achieve his goal of having his own label, if not he would probably settle for strangemusic. He would of probably started using facebook and twitter a lot later than he actually did to connect with fans/promotion ect..

The ill mind series might have alternated lyrics from the start or might not even exist. His basement would be different, probably less music equipment.

SwizZz most likely would not be a rapper right now lol.

Dizzy will strive for some other independent label with creative freedom.




Who knows what else might be different, any small thing in the present could change the future dramatically so it's hard to say.

I agree and disagree. Hopsin draws a huge fan base towards funk volume (Where it has been his label and he is obviously the most talented artist), but Dizzy is starting to become really popular and bringing in a lot of listeners. It's only a matter of time before Dizzy D Flashy hits it big! Im definitely predicting a XXL cover feature in the near future. Not only is he talented but he has a great work ethic. Thats what fans want. With the way he's working and crafting his art, theres nowhere for him to go but up.

Exactly, but without Hopsin, no one would know who Dizzy even is. If Hopsin were to have a fallout with Funk Volume and leave then the label would be finished. Without Hopsin, no one would give a shit about Funk Volume and that's just the truth. I'm sure some Dizzy fans would stay loyal, but 90% or more of the fans are interested in FV because of Hopsin.

It's the same thing with Strange Music or Shady Records. No one would care about either of them if the leading artists were no longer part of the label.
