New Forum Theme
Fri 2 Nov 2012 - 9:16
As you can see, a new theme is up. We had something up similar to this theme way back, but it had a LOT of coding errors. This theme was properly fixed up by this guy. He also runs his own forum and works on other forums as a helper.
If you come across any errors with the theme, post them up in here - screenshots would help also.
And another thing, no more of the scrolling images/smilies (signatures included). Anyone who uses that code will get a 24-hour ban.
Thanks.

haha, there's a few other things, but overall I really like this theme. It's a bit different so it'll take some getting used to but it's a good improvement

Yeah anything you find, just let me know Jeet. Theres suppose to be a tagging system that is really nice as well. You can click the users name, and it'll post this in the textarea
@Jeet: message here
Not exactly like that, but close (you can see i used a fake url)
Quick reply needs to be on for that though

Very impressive! If you want I can snoop around the site and try and find anything else? Unless you guys are confident you've troubleshooted everything.

Just a couple of things (probably not that important)
When in the "Usergroups" section, the "Group moderator" and "group members" are also the same formatting as quotes, almost completely white.
When I use the search button to look for threads, some titles don't fit in the cell and is not wrapped, so it runs on;
When I search for users as well the same issue comes up for users with long names.
That's all I could find lol, extremely minor things otherwise it's perfect. (I assume you're gonna fix the colour of the text so it's easier to read against the background e.g. "topic", "posts" etc.)

Yep, nexlevelgaming only fixed it for the main forum page and for threads, I think. That'll get fixed.

@Jeet: My bad man, its 6am here, been coding all night. I will fix that when I wake up. Please look for anything else. I just fixed the quote box, and the PM list was messed up. I fixed that as well. I have to completely redo some codes so it takes time. like I said though just let me know. There is suppose to be a lightbox as well, don't know why its not on here.

I remember this theme. I like it more but it's hard to figure out the frontpage for new members - even I had a little tough time figuring out wtf was what.
But I like it as said.
Great no scrolling signatures...

Right. Because it's going to stay like that, isn't it? No. The only reason this theme is up now is because it's stable for the most part. It's not complete.

Honestly you guys don't like it because you're not used to change. It happens all the time. Look at facebook, everybody flipped the fuck out when they changed all the formatting. You'll get used to it.

Exactly, people get so comfortable with one thing that the slightest change gets on their nerves.

I think it looks great! A little modernized.
I know you guys are probably aware of most of the little errors that remain but something I was going to point out (or ask rather) was about this:
Global announcement&Announcement & Sticky [1]([2][3] and so on)
The sticky sections of most of the sub-forums say that above and it doesn't look like it was purposely done. Maybe we could define a separation between sticky'd sections and regular posts as well with a more defined box.

@DGCK: there is a way to do what you asked, I will look into this
@Nidac_7: There should be, we didn't take it out. I will also look into this my friend.
@King: lol "I didn't know this was going to happen" <<
Next thing as well Emoticons will be cleaned up guys. Don't be nit picking minor irrelevant issues, let me know the actual problems. Like if you can't see a page, yadda yadda yadda.
Thanks everyone. Oh and if your wondering the tagging system, just click the users name in the post and it will automatically post it here in the text area. If their names are not to be seen you can type it out as well.
just write @USERNAME: MEssage here ... If that person has a space in their username I'm not sure it will work, I believe you will have to type it like so... @USER%20NAME: HEllo
Thanks everyone
