Is IMoH5 as good as everyone says?

Obviously it was good from technical aspects, but he is just RECYCLING SUBJECT MATTERS.

Every verse in IMoH5 has been said before by him.

1st verse = Nocturnal Rainbows

2nd verse = I'm Not Introducing You

3rd verse = I Can't Decide

true, at first I really loved it probably just because of the anticipation, but now its just boring to me, and I thought about that two when I first heard it. I was like hes said this all before why is it getting millions of views in a few days now?I still like the song though.

I can't really argue against that.....

All Hopsin really did in IMoH5 was elaborate on the subjects, but he didn't improve on them. If anything, all 3 of those songs I mentioned are better than IMoH5 imo.

IMOH5 is overrated, still a good song though

They are better, without a doubt. Ill Mind Of 5 is just a more direct, in your face approach.

Hmm. Everyone else raps about the same stuff on every song too. It's just subject matter. I think it's a great song and a smooth marketing scheme. If I was the only one who'd ever heard it though, I bet I'd think it was a lot better. There's something about all these people that listen to the song and act exactly the way the lyrics are that make me like this song less.

Never really thought about the verses in that way

2nd verse is so true and all dudes can relate to those bitches. I think it's genius. Not the same as Not Introducing You but I can see the comparison.

3rd verse is without no doubt the illest. No it's not like any of Hop's other songs. I can see why you would say it but it kills the whole mainstream and wannabe genre - and the thugsters in real life. No other song does that the way IMOH5 did. Not the same level.

The lyricsm is arguable but the flow is insane and fits the beat so softly that it makes my ear jizz. I dont think its overrated and it is IMO one of Hops best songs. He takes every type of steriotype he hates and fucking kills it.

Yeah, that is true. I guess what I'm saying is that people act like Hopsin has never done anything like IMoH5 before when he has.

So IMOH 1,3 and 4 were always something new? You can't reinvent rap. At the end of the day it's just blablabla, but if you have skills - and Marcus has - you can entertain people and simultaneously offer people this view on society, which they wouldn't get if this issue wasn't packaged in Hopsin's art. Nobody would give a shit if this was an article in the newspaper. But when a black man writes multisyllabic rhymes and raps in time it works.

I don't know where I said 1, 3, and 4 were new for him? A big issue I have with 5 is that the general populous of Hopsin fans think 5 is something NEW. It isn't.

IMoH5 is supposed to be a very serious subject matter. I personally cannot take it all that seriously when he has done everything in that song BETTER. He just keeps saying the same shit over and over (with little variation) when it comes to the subjects in IMoH5.
