I think Dame means in a temporary sense... but Hopsin has mentioned before that he wants to drop the contacts eventually. I guess it's not really a big deal, but to me, Hopsin isn't Hopsin without the contacts.

I was just thinking about all the times I've seen him respond to people on Twitter saying he will drop them once he becomes a superstar. He always said the only reason he wears them is so people remember him... once everybody knows him, he has no use for them. :(

Wearing contacts when you don't need them f*cks up your eyes. Even Hopsin said this himself (he doesn't actually have bad eyesight). So eventually his eyes will get so fcked up that he will have to wear them anyway!

Whenever Hop doesn't have the contacts in he is purposely being Marcus. The BBQ video (in my sig) is an example of that. The "You Are My Enemy" video is also an example of that.

The alter ego being the actual person isn't really overdone. Eminem and Slim Shady are both rappers but they have different content. Marcus and Hopsin USUALLY speak from different perspectives, one of which is just a "normal" person.
