Yes they were, but most of it was not. And I don't think it got him signed. Songs like Pans In The Kitchen, Sexy Cyber, and a few others on GATM got him signed.

He was still learning but it wasnt terrible well at least some of the songs I heard

"Lift" is dope though. The second verse goes off.

West Side is catchy, but yeah, Hop wasn't even that good.
Nothing can be as bad as "Dogs" though, good god that track was just dreadful.

Dogs is pretty dope though, considering it's one of his early works. He made it when he was 18. Probably when he was still in high school. Oh wait he's a dropout.
