It takes real guts to shoot yourself in the gut.

But
this man seems relatively unfazed by his decision to shoot himself in
the stomach at point-blank range - just to test out his bulletproof
vest.

Luckily, it worked - though it looks like it hurt a lot, as he is immediately doubled up in pain.

The anonymous man took the
extraordinary decision to fire a bullet directly at his stomach in order
to see whether his vest was as effective as it was supposed to be.

So he picked up a 10mm Glock, set the camera rolling and prepared to undergo the gruelling test.
But despite his bullish demeanour, he admits that he is 'psyching himself out'.

And turning to the camera, he says: 'I'm trying to get the nerve to do it.'

However, he lines up the handgun and fires straight into the centre of his stomach.

Immediately
after the shot is fired he groans, 'Oh f***, oh s***' and is doubled
up, muttering intelligibly: 'Never mind it, I got - oh.'
'That f****** hurt,' he adds - perhaps needlessly, given his obvious agony.

I would never pull a trigger on myself like that..

You can actually see the bullet ricochet off the vest and fly into the left corner of the screen... he's lucky that didn't hit him in the face or bounce off of something else.
