Teacher Spits In Students Face

A high school math teacher known for his volcanic temper was yanked from
his Queens classroom after a video caught him spewing spit into a
student’s face.

Expectorating educator David Pecoraro — labeled a serial spitter by
students — was caught screaming at the unidentified Beach Channel High
School kid just seconds before the saliva sailed.

Students said the pair fought over the youth’s cell phone before
Pecoraro, an outspoken critic of Mayor Bloomberg’s education reforms,
turned spitting mad.

“You want to go to jail now?” asked Pecoraro, who earns $100,049 a year, after the pushing match. “You’re gonna go to jail.”

“What the hell are you doing here?” the student shot back.

“I’m gonna teach you math,” Pecoraro replied before the student unleashed a homophobic slur.

After a brief back-and-forth, the teacher walked over and spit in the
kid’s face as other students cackled — and one slept peacefully on a
nearby desk.

“Are you crazy?” asked Pecoraro after the student spit at him.

“Don’t touch me, mother------,” the teen snaps back. A cell phone video of the spit war quickly showed up on YouTube.

Pecoraro, 52, “was reassigned to an administrative office Thursday and
the matter was referred to investigators,” said Education Department
spokeswoman Margie Feinberg.

Students said it was about time that somebody put a sock in Pecoraro’s mouth.

“He’s always getting in kids’ faces and spitting all over them,” said
Otina Rosario, 16, a Beach Channel junior. “It’s disgusting.”

Other students recalled similar incidents.

“That dude has some bad breath,” said Malcolm Wilson, 15. “He is a loose cannon. He’s always getting in people’s faces.”

Pecoraro was reprimanded in 2003 for pulling the headphones off a student’s head.

The teaching veteran, who began working for the city in 1985, insisted the video didn’t tell the full story.

“That kid stuck a piece of gum that he had previously chewed and placed
onto his desk and onto my rear end — he put it into my mouth and I was
spitting it out,” he said.

Pecoraro also denied the students’ charges, and said his removal was retaliation for his activist work.

In 2011, Beach Channel posted just a 44.3% four-year graduation rate,
well below the city average of 65%. The F-rated school is slated to
close in 2014.

at my high school a few years before i graduated and upper class no lie legit swear on my life jizzed inside of crispy creme donuts and gave them to the front office and the principle it was the greatest prank ever pulled off in my opinion lmao.. back to the point this is disturbing i am sure he had some serious problems with the student before hand. Their should be a rule/law if someone spits on you intentionally, especially aiming at your face you should have the right to "defend yourself" and give them the lesson to never spit on another person lol
