Twisted Metal Developers To Work On iPhone Games.

Good and bad news for Twisted Metal, as a European release date for the vehicular shooter has been confirmed, but developer Eat Sleep Play has reportedly layed off eight employees and studio co-founder David Jaffe will be leaving, but not necessarily to make "casual games" as had been rumoured.

Jaffe responded to this rumour on Twitter, stating that it had been "highly exaggerated". Eat Sleep Play's remaining staff now number 26, and the studio will now apparently concentrate on iPhone and iPad projects, reports Joystiq.

Meanwhile, Twisted Metal will be coming to North America on February 14th, 2012 with a European release to follow on March 7th, with a few minor cuts to various cinematic sequences enabling it to pass the European ratings board.
