PSN TO HAVE A NAME CHANGE!

GOT THIS IN A EMAIL.

On February 8, 2012, your “PlayStation®Network account” will be renamed a “Sony Entertainment Network account” or a “SEN account”in conjunction with Sony Computer Entertainment’s PlayStation®3 system software and PlayStation®Vita system software updates. (Note, this change will not be applied to the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system at this time.)

For general purposes, this account change is a change in name only. Your username or password will not change, nor are we asking you to change them. In accordance with this transition, some necessary naming changes will be made to the TOS and Privacy Policy.

This transition is based on Sony’s goal to enhance its unique digital entertainment offering. As a series of these activities Sony started last September, PlayStation®Network will be aligned with “Sony Entertainment Network.” This helps us get closer to our goal of establishing a global comprehensive network platform of services across games, movies, music and more, all accessible from one convenient account.

Isn't going to make the PS3 better than the 360 Lol

I'd really like to see them focus more on relevant things to improve the actual network and make it a better experience for gamers. Or, maybe I've just been spoiled by the Xbox 360 party chat and cross game chat. Don't get me wrong, I love enjoying single player games by myself (not talking/listening to someone in a chat at that time because I want to focus on the game itself) but once I've completed that game and want to go over the game again and collect the stuff I've missed/trophies ect. while my friend is playing another game, I wouldn't mind having cross game chat at that time. But as Sony said, it ain't happening. Which is all good I suppose, there are still a lot of other useful features out there that the PS3 should of had by now, though.

I guess I'm really just starting to notice some of the downers with the PS3 since I've started to play more games on it.

This is true. But, as far as communication to your friends go, the Xbox 360 is fine. Sure, it would be great to have better codec for both consoles - but it really isn't necessary.

Both are pretty outdated consoles on the inside... but with the PS3, to me, it shows more. This is why I would love it if Sony could focus more on upgrades that they can actually do (as cross game chat on the PS3 isn't possible).

yeah they did that by re-engineering new chips and on top of it gave full replacements on defective models. that was honestly like 4 years ago

Lost Odyssey is 5 dics long, but it's a JRPG and they are retarded when it coems to XBOX hardware. The game also has a shitton of CG cutscenes.

2 discs is props worth of just cutscenes lol

The bottom line is that you don't have a 360, so you talk shit. Just like every other playstation fagboy out there. You guys don't even understand what you're missing. I have BOTH consoles. The only reason I even use my PS3 is for Blu-Ray and exclusives. Other than that, it collects dust.

PS3 = Crappy controllers that are made for five year olds hands, horrible online functionality, poor performance for multi-platform games.

The 360 even has youtube now, and it SHITS on the ps3 youtube functionality.

That doesn't change shit. You have to "live" with one to understand. Build up a friends list, rent a game for 360 that you buy for ps3 (look at the difference in performance). Play 360 online, etc.

But yo let me stop, I don't like getting all "factual" about the console debate. If you like PS3, that's cool man, I'm not gonna keep knocking you for it. And I can't wait to play Twisted Metal, so we'll get some gaming in soon.
