Favorite MC?
Wed 1 Feb 2012 - 0:35
ITT: We post our favorite MC, not who we think is the G.O.A.T. - even though they kind of go hand in hand sometimes.
No fighting, though. I just wanna know your favorite(s). Post some songs of them if you're inclined too.
Mine:
Eyedea
He spits the only verses on these, btw.

I love how his music is completely different and unique and it never gets old.
I got bored of every album from 2011 except for Section.80 it's really weird.

Eminem by far. His first 3 major label studio albums, The Slim Shady LP, The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show, are the 3 best Hip-Hop Albums ever released IMO. From mutli-syllables, to perfect delivery, to lyricism, to wittiness, to impact, Slim is the combination of every good aspect of Hip-Hop, and I can't see anyone dropping anything (or has dropped anything) near the caliber of those 3 albums.
Encore was a disappointment, but he was at a time where he was high on drugs and thank god it still had some good songs. Don't forget some songs ment to be on there were leaked and taken off the album like Love You More, We As Americans, Bully, Can_I_Bitch.... those would've made Encore twice as better.
Relapse, fuck what the general public thought of it, was a masterpiece IMO, it integrated Imagination and Story-Telling, with Horrocore, Amazing multi-syllable rhyme schemes, and great beats to make a good album. Only flaw (for some people maybe, not for me) were the accents, they did not bother me at all, and Relapse is a massive album in my perception.
And ofc, we got "Radio Friendly" Recovery, whom was a bit commercial-wise oriented, still provided some raw Eminem lyricism, with an aim more towards wordplay and metaphores. It showed how these days you can still be dope and sell crazy numbers at the same time.
Eminem is the perfect MC IMO, and he is at the top of the list when G.O.A.T.s are considered. I hope you won't consider me a blind stan after this, but this coming from true belief, and not just feelings.
/rant.

Rose Garden is my favourite music video of all time ^
The way the lyrics are relevant in a video that in the first half, is the reverse of the second half is pure genius.

Couldn't agree more with everything you said, but Bad Meets Evil was just pure shit and sucked major balls. Recovery was my least liked solo album by Em, but it was still a solid album, not great, but solid. But Eminem is my favorite artist of all time by far. His next album will be a classic
