Howard Stern - New America's Got Talent Judge

It's official. And officially strange. Howard Stern is the new judge on America's Got Talent. NBC made the announcement today, confirming rumors that radio host Stern will join the series next summer for Season 7, replacing Piers Morgan.

Said NBC's Paul Telgedy, "Howard Stern's larger-than-life personality will bring a thrilling new dynamic to 'America's Got Talent' starting this summer. He's a proven innovator and his track record in broadcasting is truly remarkable. Howard is very passionate about this show and is fully committed to its future success."

NBC will actually move production of the live America's Got Talent shows to New York, so that Stern will be able to continue his SiriusXM radio program.

What remains to be seen of course is how much of Stern's no holds barred, crass and crude persona will be allowed on network TV.
