Dude Proposes On a Train

WHEN you're on the train after a long day at work, the last thing you'd expect is to be serenaded by commuters and then asked for your hand in marriage.

But that's exactly what happened to Lucy Rogers, when her now-fiancé Adam King organised some of his choir mates to meet him on the 19.57 train to Watford Junction, in London.

"When someone started singing (Bill Withers' Lovely Day) I thought, that's great, what a lovely train journey I'm on, it must be a flash mob" Ms Rogers told Sky News.

"And then when he got down on one knee, it was only at that point that I realised it was all for me."

Mr King had been planning the proposal since April, rehearsing with the choir for months and even building a replica of the train carriage to make sure everything was just right.

But his careful planning was nearly thrown into turmoil when Ms Rogers decided to drive to work on the day of the proposal - leading to a quick thinking Mr King disconnecting the car battery.

So after such a dramatic proposal, what will the wedding hold?

Well according to the happy couple, it might be "some kind of fancy dress parade, maybe on a mode of public transport."
