The WORST aspects of Hop?

We all like Hopsin for his flow, lyrics, voice, beats, persona, etc... But are there any things you don't like about him? Like if you could change anything about his music, would you?


For me personally:

His hooks are hit and miss, sometimes great and sometimes terrible.
Sometimes his confidence pushes into the realms of conceit (I've heard he's not like that in real life, but I've never met him so I'm just going by songs).
I always hated Eminem's "funny" songs like Slim Shady, Without Me, etc.... It's the same way with Hop. Idk, maybe it's just me but I definitely prefer his serious songs.
I seriously love Swizzz, but I hope his next album with have more diversity on the features.






And also, this is my first post on this forum. Hello! Hopsin has been my new favorite rapper ever since I heard Raw. Can't wait for Knock Madness!

I think the thing he should work on most is his vocabulary...His lyrics and flow are great, but some of his words he uses are kinda odd....Idk its hard to explain.

Like he says "Pal" and "Buddy", shit like that...Words my grandpa use to use...lol

But naw, Hop is fuckin dope.

There is a fine line between sounding retarded and sounding like you're just being an ass with a thesaurus, ala Asher Roth.

Asher Roth is the ass with the thesaurus. I would say people like Gucci and Waka are the retards.

I think Hop is in a good spot in the middle. He's got a good vocab but he still keeps it like real talk if you get what I'm saying.

For sure, TBH I became a Hopsin fan overnight.

I watched one of his music videos, which lead me to the rest.

Then I watched all of his interviews, and learned about what he's been through.

Made me an instant fan, once you know his life story (As he tells it), then you kinda have to respect his shit....its all real

the kid never finished school and was in special ed.

Hooks are definitely hit or miss. I can't stand the hook on "Trampoline".

TBH none of the stuff you guys mentioned bothers me. I love 90% of his hooks, I love his funny songs, it doesn't bother me that he was on so raven.

The only thing that I don't like is that he is borderline emo sometimes. Trust I have been through way worse shit than him in my life and I don't even get like that.

the hooks are my only problem. his hook for I Can't Decide...like, it's a good song....but....that hook makes me cringe it's so bad. and rapping about masturbating a lot. that shit odd.

his flow, lyrics, and beat are the shit. and what he stands for. fuck all these faggots rappin' about money, hos, and drugs all the time that shit dumb.

I gotta admit, sometimes his choruses are a little weird, but he sure makes up for them whit the verses he spits!

Put it this way, if I thought there were alot of bad aspects to Hop, I wouldn't be on this forum in the first place.

Every artist is different, just gotta accept them at their worst to hear their best :) !
