Baby Found Dead In Trashcan

WATERFORD, CA - An infant was found dead in a garbage can Thursday around 9:22 p.m. outside a Bait Barn.



A man looking for aluminum cans in the garbage next to gas pumps found the infant wrapped up in blankets, Stanislaus County Sheriff's Sgt. Anthony Bejaran said.

The man told police the baby appeared lifeless.

When crews arrived at the scene, the baby was pronounced dead.

Bejaran said the investigation was on its early stages and more information will be available later.
