Okay guys, so I was listening to Knock Madness today and got to "Old Friend."  I have listened to the song many times before and always thought of Hopsin's "homie" to be a friend of his past that we will never know... But I have started to think that maybe this old friend of Hopsin's is SwizZz.


Before you guys think I'm crazy, here are some reasons with lyrics to explain myself:


1)  "I really hate to stress it, but you strange to mess with, So I keep my distance, cause you always got this blank expression, Like you’re confused and unaware of your surroundings"


Watch this video from last year that was made before Ill Mind Six came out.








Now, I don't know the exact effects of meth but it is clear that SwizZz is out of it in this video.  I know this is a bit of a stretch but you could reasonably argue that he is "unaware of his surroundings."




2)  "You could’ve had half of this back when I had established it, But now I have to sit and feel bad, look what your actions did"


This could possibly be Hopsin talking about how SwizZz's actions and drug use has caused him to not make music.  Hopsin is saying that if SwizZz had kept on the music route he could have the fame that Hopsin has.  As we all know, we rarely hear new music from SwizZz, so maybe his drug use is the reason why.




3)  "Man you were so outgoing and so hysterical, Seeing you now is just unbearable, it’s terrible"


Here's another possible example of SwizZz's lack of passion now.




4)  Here are some lyrics off of the song "Jungle Bash" off of Knock Madness.


"I just came to chill, sip and drink, and smoke a blunt or two, Slicker than a tub of lube, blow me like a cup of soup, Thanks Jarren, I could use a new habit"


The part that sticks out the most in these lyrics is the "I could use a new habit."  Maybe this is telling us that SwizZz has stopped his meth use and is making a joke that he needs a new habit.




5)  If you take a look at the Track list order you notice that "Old Friend" is followed by "Still Got Love For You" which is then followed by "Jungle Bash" the song featuring SwizZz.


Again this is a stretch, but maybe Hopsin did this purposely by talking about how he lost his friend (SwizZz) in "Old Friend" but follows it by talking about how he still has love for his old friend and then further extends this by including him on a track on a very important album of his.






All in all, this theory I have formulated is a stretch but if you put all the pieces together, it is a very real possibility.  Is SwizZz a struggling meth addict?  Is there something we don't know?  Let me know your guys opinions on this.

Hopsin said once that the guy he was describing in OLD FRIEND is a real person but he isn't in touch with him anymore, he doesn't know if he saw his video but his parents did, hop meets them sometimes. So, it can't be SWizz, besides Hop wouldn't be that stupid and insensitive to reveal private life details of a guy who's standing right beside him. 

Speaking of healthy or unhealthy looks of methheads, it's individual case, some look like ghosts after 6 months of taking this shit others thrive for years and it's almost impossible to notice they are junkies at the first sight.
