Do you think Hop's fell off?
Sun 10 Nov 2013 - 22:08
He doesn't seem to be getting as many views etc as he used to, but it seems he is a lot bigger than he was? Its weird to me. Or maybe its just cause he hasnt made a big enough hype before his albums. Opinions anyone?

He's an independent artist, he doesn't have proffesional marketing machine support behind him. It's hard to make a lot of hype without lots of money, he may have some hard time now but I'm not afraid about his future too much. Even if sth goes wrong anger will fuel him to make even better songs, he's an anger powered beast :)

I agree with that tbh, I don't think that the song was bad though, I just think it is not what people was expecting.Coolguy 127 wrote:I think IMOH6 killed his hype, cuz ppl were expecting better.

After Hop is Back I'd say things are getting back together but it's to soon to say.BabySmacker wrote:He definitely started to fall off. Faith in him to get his shit together though.
As for both of the previous Ill Minds, I was pretty disappointed and don't think much of them. Hop wasn't on his A game.

He did not fall off one bit, hes still relevant enough for people to praise/criticize and only has two albums out, sells out shows, every single makes it at least in the top 100 on itunes. steady increase in Facebook likes, twitter followers ect. Plus the media still has their eye on him.. I can go on. Yea some people get confused because of his pace of releasing music and because they expect every single video he puts on youtube to get over 10 mill views or something. Content wise his singles have all been pretty solid for what they are intended to be, now if people expect something "different" and did not spread the song like wildfire is another story, not every song has the same effect on the audience. There can be a song that you really enjoy but would not bother to share or repeat as much, then there are songs that you like but have an urge to repeat or tell someone about it.

the shows are tiny venues, that's why they sell out, lol.King wrote:He did not fall off one bit, hes still relevant enough for people to praise/criticize and only has two albums out, sells out shows, every single makes it at least in the top 100 on itunes. steady increase in Facebook likes, twitter followers ect. But he is staying relevant, but after IMOH5 & 6 & DONT RIDE MY DICK SONG i thought he was falling off, rapping wise.

The venues still sell out meaning that he gets the most of what he makes available, the venues he has performed in are spread out into many different locations.STRANGEgenius wrote:the shows are tiny venues, that's why they sell out, lol.King wrote:He did not fall off one bit, hes still relevant enough for people to praise/criticize and only has two albums out, sells out shows, every single makes it at least in the top 100 on itunes. steady increase in Facebook likes, twitter followers ect. The dontridemahdick song had decent rhymes with a whack beat that he did not rap well on.. and corny green screening, but that's not a single since a long time ago so it's irrelevant.
illmind 5, 6 are both dope, just have different messages and approaches, the quality was there and the skills were there only the "hardcoreness" was missing which most of us Hopsin fans are attracted too.

We will find out in a few weeks when we see how much the album sells.

You guys have to look at the big picture. As lame as it might sound, check his likes on Facebook. He hit a million not too long ago and now he's already hit 1,300,000. That is just with one single off his new record. Hopsin is at the point where he doesn't care about being hyped or any of that. He runs a record label that we all love and has his future made either way.
